Ghana Projects

We are currently in the process of building a multipurpose centers in a rural in Jama, Ghana. This building will be used for Mass, school, religious education, group meetings and classes, and community meetings. The entire cost of the project is $258,000, of which about $35,000 is being contributed in manual labor by the Ghanaian people that it will use the space.

We have already raised and utilized about $127,000 and have built the basic structure of the building.  toward construction and critical infrastructure like boreholes for clean water. To fully complete the Jama Multipurpose Center and Church, we still need to raise an estimated $131,000. Please consider helping us finish this superstructure and complete this important work!

In 2025 we finished the fundraising for the multipurpose center in Nandom, Ghana. The total cost we fundraised was $175,000, of which 10% was contributed in labor by the local Ghanaian people and the remainder is being fundraised through U.S. donors. This building is near completion. In collaboration with Fr. Beyuo Kuukole, missionary priest serving in the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas, we have a goal to build a couple new in-ground wells every year.  The wells are built where there is not an infrastructure for people to have water in their homes. The more wells that are built, the closer people can have water to their homes. Each well costs approximately $3,500 to dig and build and provides water for 300 up to 1,000 people!  Below are some videos and photos of the well-digging process for two new wells dug in January 2023, paid for by generous donors through FAST.

We started collaborating with Fr. Beyuo Kuukole, missionary priest serving in the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas, in 2021.  We are grateful that through generous donors we are able to support individual students in Ghana and support them through school.  

We are able to help with individual critical needs such as medical, housing, etc. when we have generous donors to support these and when we hear of a need. These are some things we have done in the past two years:  

• hospital costs for an elderly woman with a large tumor on her leg
• funeral costs for a very poor couple
• helped a widow pay off a dangerous debt, and then helped her children with school fees to prevent future debt.
• helped a priest with heart surgery to save his life
• started a farmer’s co-op of 28 people with a microfinance loan
• helped two orphaned sisters with fees for room and board and to learn sewing and weaving
• helped an elderly woman with hip surgery costs
• paid for cancer treatments for a 35 year old mother in Ghana, including chemotherapy and radiation
